I just took pics of the cool things I've been working on to post here, but the quality is awful. And I was so excited. grrrr.....

Time for a new digital camera and would like opinions - mid price would be good.

Hurry! :P

Mine is a Fuji finepix Z20fd, the second Fuji I have owned. Nice and lightweight, easy to use (very user friendly). I got the photo printer with it as part of a QVC package (QVC UK) but don't use that part much. I think nowadays all the makes are pretty good, so it would be more a question of particular features that you want, and as much clarity with your pictures as you can get, so you need to seek a shop that carried different makes and quiz them a LOT. The other thing I have found is that I am not often all that pleased with how my pictures turn out once on my laptop, but simple programs allow you to tweak the colours or the lighting or crop them, or adjust for tilt if you didn't get the original straight, etc. THAT makes a great difference. I use a free to download programme called Incredimail, but there are a lot of others around so quiz that camera shop again.

I have always had a HP camera but just bought a Kodak easy share C160 it is 9.2 mega pixils and takes great shots, very user friendly and best of all only $89.00 at Walmart. One of the things I look for is if it uses regular AA batteries as I have rechargeable s. I didn't want one with a special battery as they are expensive.

Thanks Ladies! I'll be happy with one that takes good closeups and I don't have to fiddle with color or outdoor vs indoor lighting. Bells and whistles I don't need.

I have a Canon PowerShot S3IS and I love it. Not complicated to use at all.

The camera I usually use to take pics of my quilts and around town pics is an Intova. I bought it at he dive shop because it was a good price $100 and came with the case so I can take underwater pictures.
My big camera is Sony F828 which I love too, but it's heavy and cost me a ton of money...ok, not really all that much because I got it on sale at a good price.
I have alot of friends who have Canons and swear by them.
