If your ears are ringing, someone is talking about you.

I remember hearing my Grandma tell me "get your hair out of your eyes or you will go blind. My daughter remembers me telling her that when she was little.

If you eat bread crusts, it will make your hair curly (doesn't work).

My step-dad use to tell me if I ate bread and gravy it would put hair on my chest. Don't know if that was just something he would tell me or if it was an old wives tale. Either way, it didn't.

Yes I remember that one - my doctor said - "well, how do they get their clothes on over their head?" He also told me to listen to everything my mother said - then do anything I felt like doing.

That last one works for the phone, too. If you want to make a call, pick up your phone and you will be swamped with request from your children.

Not the worst thing that could happen...

My mother always told me that if I didn't eat my bread crusts that my teeth would fall out.

My mother was told that if you are nursing a baby you will not get pregnant.
My brother is 15 months younger than me...

If you're getting a fever sore on your lip, rub your finger behind your ears, then rub the finger over the fever sore. The fever blister won't develop because the oils behind your ear 'kill' the virus.

It doesn't work for me, but she believed it worked for her.

Pregnant women who carry low = boy, or pregnancy acne = girl.
Pregnant women shouldn't take baths.
Pregnant women shouldn't eat fish

Well. my great aunt did this when I got married the 1st time. Turns out the penny was worth more than him.LOL
If you give a purse or wallet as a present, always put in a coin.

If someone gives you a plant, never thank them for it or it will die. If you give someone a knife, you must give them a penny to prevent the knife from "cutting" the friendship. If you drop a dish towel on the floor, you're going to have company.

my mother always said "put on a sweater, your mother is cold!" and I say that to my kids now! My grammie always put a penny in any new purse or wallet she gave us.
