Default Oscar Nominated Movies

As a lark I entered a world wide lottery for tickets to sit in the bleachers on the Red Carpet for the Oscars, and low and behold won two tickets! So my husband and I are going next Sunday. But I have a dilema....we have seen NONE of the nominated movies! We very rarely go to the movies, preferring to watch movies as they come out on DirecTV. In fact, we did see the new Sherlock Holmes and that was the first time at the movies in probably three years.

I need to see at least ONE movie this week. DH is not one for chick flicks and I will not, if possible, see a tear-jerker in the theatre. The other 400 people who will be on the bleachers seem to all be movie fanatics, duh, and I want to be able to talk with my bleacher neighbors about something.

thanks

I am not a huge movie goer myself so I can't give any titles. You could talk to your neighbours about quilting. Maybe you'll meet a fellow quilter there.

I think we saw Titanic last. Yeah, we don't go to the movies either. But I went with girlfriends and saw The Help. Is that one up for nomination? Is should be and I loved it.

Have fun!
