our new kitten follows me EVERYWHERE... she's only about 3 - 4# now and still tiny so we really have to watch the floor or we step on her.

I have one cat that will go into his litter box and pee when I do!
---------------------------
Yes, that sounds familiar. I am careful when closing the bathroom door because Frederica is always first in there and Koko is usually caught in his rear end when rushing to get in before the door shuts, so I finally gave up that little ritual of locking the door since I live alone. He will hurl himself against the door, then I usually hear a scratching noise and a thump where he's tried to turn the door handle, claws slide off and he drops to the ground, then there's the little paws under the door and whining. He's half Siamese but does not have that big voice they usually have, thank goodness!!!

Then they each beg and shake hands for their individual treats which I keep in there for them, and then Freddy will go to her big box potty when told to, even when she doesn't have to go, but will jump in, scratch around and then jump out. Much easier than actual disobedience.

It's a bit before 3 AM. I'm in here on the computer. I needed a potty break..........

So, I have to scoot Fiona (80#) out of the computer room doorway.
Boots (90#) is laying in the bathroom door because it's as close to the computer room as he can get since his sissy claimed the computer room door.
Well, I wanted a drink first, so I went to the kitchen first. Here come my DD's two dogs from the bedroom (we're doggysitting).

Alllllllllll the way to the kitchen. Make a U turn and all the way back to the bathroom.

Boots is happy, since Fiona got up and he rushed back and claimed her spot while I was still in the bathroom.

The only one who missed the parade was my hubby who sleeps thru these nightly parades. Well, they happen during the day, too.
3AM.........on the computer???????

and my family think I am on this machine a lot !!!!!!!!!!!

I can only sleep a couple hours at a time before I wake up aching. I don't work outside the house so I have no important schedules to follow. So, many nights I'm in here late. Or early--3 AM is generally after a good nap.

That is funny to hear so many say the same things about their animals mine do the same thing. But my oldest can't get up the stairs anymore so he just wines while I'm in the bathroom and the other one is sitting watching me then goes out to see him. Hunter is usually by my foot when I'm sewing with his head close or on my foot. I have since gave him a bed next to my chair so he can be close but not under foot. Hunter is my deaf dog but he is so smart......

I have a dog and cat and yes they follow me everywhere.I use to have 5 cats. When I use to close the door and I'd see 5 different paws under the door. I gave up closing the door. Now my husband comes in also. The whole family is in there.

Know how you feel. My jack russell and my husband will come into the bathroom to visit or stay awhile... the jack follows one of us everwhere. She has a big growl and bark but is a real scaredy cat....

I thought once my kids grew up and moved out I might be able to go to the bathroom in peace. Ah, but then we have had pets of one kind or another since then and it is just not meant to be. In the summertime, our cat actually lays next to and on the base of the commode for hours at a time. I thought cats like being warm? Argh! I feel your pain or should I say annoyance, GrannieAnnie!
