I have found in the past if I try and save a page on the internet that when I go back it is gone. I find it so much easier to make a permanent file or pdf. It doesn't matter what program you are in as long as you have the option to print. I have used pdf995 for the past 10 years. I took online classes which meant sending my papers to the instructor. Everyone has a different word program. I always wanted them to look just like I typed them and not to move around or change font.

The program is free. When you are saving your file, it does have but one advertisement. No big deal. I used it that way for years. Finally, I spent the $10.00 and got the key.

How it works. You download two small files. When you find a free patter of something you want to save, you click on print. It usually shows your printer. I will now show an icon that says pdf. Click on the icon. It will pop up and ask you what you want to name it just like a regular file.

This is good to know. I love when pdf files are used, because when people post downloads with Microsoft word I can't even look at them and it is a bummer!

That's true. Everytime I pay a bill on line, I make a pdf of the payment and put it in a folder.

thanx! have been looking for a program to convert my sox and amigurumi patterns to pdf so they can be loaded into my nook. some of them are already pdf's, but most are all sorts of different word processor types.
