Default That Pesky Seam Ripper!!

DH asked me to fix his favorite jacket pocket. Sure...no problem. Let me grab my seam ripper. Quick look where it's supposed to be...nope..just the "snag puller". Thus starts the search. Every conceivable place it could be. No....nowhere to be found. What I did find though was:

1. 19 packages of various sized machine needles.
2. 7 glue sticks
3. 4 6" square rulers
4. 13 rotary blades
5. More ric rac than I know what to do with
6. An unopened packages of bobbins.
7. A plethora of miscellaneous things I might use in the next 10 years or so!!

After having no luck finding the seam ripper, and organizing a bit, I glanced up...oops...the "snag puller" was in fact, the pesky seam ripper!!

Anyone else find themselves on self induced wild goose chases??

I was asked to locate a Grandfather clock for a Christmas present. In an ad for a garage sale....there was a grandfather clock. So my quilting mentor and I did a road trip early this a.m. Both of us have lots to do, but we went on this wild goose chase. First of all we got lost and had a wonderful ride through some leaves that were turning. Then we finally pulled over and GPSed it. Back another 13 miles, to where we started. We get there and the guy has pulled the grandfather clock out of the garage sale.

But I do know where my seam ripper is.

I end about 80% of my sentences with "Here it is."
I can't find.....here it is.
Who took my....here it is.
What happened to the.....here it is.

I know exactly what you are talking about.

I keep several seam rippers. If I can't find my favorite pim one I still have 4 or 5 more to use.

I'm pretending not to be able to find one. A friend asked me to 'repair' a vintage wool jacket. I think rebuild would be a better word. I truly cannot start until next week - church bazaar this week, but I'm in no hurry!

I drilled a small hole in the front of my sewing table and then screwed a cup kook in. My seam ripper has a little wire ring on the cap of it and so I hang my ripper up. It's always there!
