I ONCE MADE ONE OF THESE TO CARRY MY IRON BACK AND FORTH TO CLASSES. I PUT THE HEAT RESISTANT BATTING IN IT TOO.....WORKED GREAT! It is an easy pattern and so handy for so many things......

There is a wonderful online person called the Crafty Gemini. She has appeared on MSQ with Jenny. As far as putting a handle on the basket/box/gift, I think it is the same pattern, including the inside pockets, I'm linking here sans the draw string. If you are visual learner I think you will enjoy this YouTube tutorial. While you are at her YouTube channel take a look at her other videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9WUYyLHpw8

Thank-you lalaland for posting this. I so appreciate you showing the source it's so nice when members share the pattern name or source of inspiration! You are a very generous guild member to make these petal bags and fill them with a cute gift to boot!

Prefer the look of yours to the unsewn corners. How large did you start your squares with and how far over did you sew your "petals".
