Default Pillow case/special stitch

On the hot dog pillow case there is the 2 and 1/2 ' trim piece and when you wash them it never seems to lay flat unless you iron them so I fixed the problem which I saw or heard done before. Before you sew the side and bottom together, I use a complimentary thread and use one of my fancy stitch to sew it down. These are to match my quilt that I made and have to send to be quilted.

I top stitch mine down also but I like your idea using the decorative stitch.

You used very pretty fabrics in those pillow cases.

Stitching that piece down is a good idea.

I've started using a much narrower trim - cut no more than 1 inch wide - only about 1/4 inch is showing after it's sewn in.
