Our students don't have school tomorrow, but we have to go in for a professional development day.

Our schools are always closed, but they use it as an In-Service Day or like you say, Professional Development Day. I think the school district gets to make that choice.

Yes, I think the post office is closed today, and thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten they were closed.

Some places in Georgia have school today-only because they have only had TWO days of school since Christmas due to ice, storms etc-per my uncle

Schools are closed here in the Chattanooga area but I've heard some may open due to the heavy snow days. It's caused a controversy about the opening.

Anyone wants to know more about Federal Holidays, go to Wikipedia...it shows everything, even State to State!

my local post office is closed even when they are open - the service and attitude stinks! I go to the next town, they are much friendlier, they are just as busy as the local post office, but they make you feel like they are happy to see you and trying their best to keep the line moving.
