I posted today on facebook that I was taking a break from cleaning and sewing all day long. Not one person "got it". I knew that if I posted here. EVERYBODY would "get it". I truly feel that we are a sisterhood, (sorry for the guys on here, you are definitely included) of quilters. And for those that have friends that are also quilters, I envy you. Except for my husband I really do not have anyone else that I can talk to without them looking at me like I have 2 heads, but I am not alone because I "talk" to you guys all the time. Thanks everybody, I love this forum.... :)

I understand - I just want a day off from everything except sewing.

They don't know what they're missing. I wish I could join you in your day of sewing.

I understand, and you are right, we are a "quilterhood". There are some "quilters" in my area, most have made one or two in their lifetime and don't keep up with trends like our friends here do.

Same here-mention sewing all day and my friends eyes glaze over. Mention the mall and they're all over it!!! Rather be here or in my sewing room thank you!

I understand all of what you are saying. My DH thinks I have 2 heads too when I talk to him. I told him 1 day that if he wants me to listen to him talk about sports then he has to listen to me talk about quilts. You go ahead and take a day off, I wish I could but I'm too far behind.

You certainly aren't the only one that feels this way! It's so nice to have a community of folks that really 'get' what you're saying - what would I do without this board and everybody on it!
