We have an owl family living in our backyard. We were lucky enough to see owlet #1 take his first flight a few nights ago and tonight I waited for owlet #2 to leave the nest. All I was able to get was this picture..... I think I'll name him Bashful!

Saturday morning update: It wasn't quite as noisy last night as it was the night #1 left the nest. I'm not sure what to think, perhaps #2 decided he wasn't ready to leave the nest.

Living in the country, we are lucky to see a variety of wildlife. Yesterday afternoon we had a flock of wild turkeys out for a stroll. Ugly old things!

I'm glad you all enjoyed my little evening photo shoot! It was fun.
