This is marvelous. I have a group of women I've known since the early 1970s, a woman's club. We meet twice a month at each other's homes, and after a few regular things, we sit and chat and share ideas. They are my sisters and we've known each others' families also. We've grieved with each other when we lost some of our husbands and even 3 of our members. I feel much better after such a meeting, and we run into each other in town and cafes and stores, share what we've found interesting, etc.

I do believe this, we always need female friends all our lives.
