I do this to my pillow covers and it works great.

I saved the link above which shows you how to avoid pointed pillow corners. I think it is similar to Cactus Stitchin's method. I have not tried it yet myself.

Yes - this what I am talking about. I start the angle 5-6 inches from the corner and go in 1/2 inch on both sides.
