I've tried to catch all the meteor showers this year, missing only a couple! The best one that I've seen so far has been the Leonid Shower in November. I love getting up in the middle of the night, freezing my butt off to watch these, and there is no sarcasm there, I really do love it! I hadn't even realized the Geminid shower was in a few days. I'm so glad I saw your post!!! :) Thanks for sharing!

I've never seen a meteor shower, but I once saw an Aurore Boreale at my parents' place... we were standing out in the street like idiots for half an hour freezing our butts off before someone suggested we sit back in the hot tub and watch... duh!

Hot tub is a good idea! I wonder if they are visible this far north. Sometimes we miss it because we are latitudinally challenged! :)

I don't think we'll see it tonight--we're getting "mixed precipitation"; I think that means ice. It's really ugly out right now!! Hopefully we can see it later this week-thanks for the reminder.

Would love to be able to see it but snow is coming down pretty good and many schools are either starting 2 hours late or already closed for tomorrow.
