My DH was supposed to be watching our 3 yo grandson, Landon and fell asleep. Landon decided that he wanted some popcorn. So he pushed a chair to the pantry and got out a bag. He then pushed the chair to the microwave, put the popcorn in rite side up and pushed the popcorn button. The whole time, DH never woke up. My son came in form work just in time to see him very carefully taking the popped bag of popcorn out of the micro by the corners just like I always did. DS asked him what he was doing and he said, " I wanted popcorn so I made it just like Honey does". I am just glad he decided to make popcorn and not something that might have exploded! Needless to say, DH got a lecture when I got home!!

That sound so familiar.........

Men will be men. I guess that's why God made Mothers and Grandmothers. LOL

My DD#1 tried to do that when she was little...except she didn't take the cellophane off! That was on grandpa's watch, I think.

Sounds like something my 3 year old grandson would do. His baby brother is named Landon. Like that name.

One time my dad started to make microwave popcorn...all of the sudden there was lots of popping (not the popcorn) and smoke! Turns out the bag of popcorn had came open at the top, so he clipped it together with a wooden clothespin...not a good idea! I still have to laugh at the image of him running out the back door with a smoking bag and a flaming clothespin!

Good thing little man doesn't like pop corn or I could see him doing the same thing.

Several years ago my stepdaughter in Alabama was moving. My hubby went up to watch the two children the day of the move. Our DGD was still in diapers, DGS is a year older.

Well hubby can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. While he napped, DGD had a bm and DGS was helping her take off the dirty diaper. The object in the diaper fell to the floor. DGD was running away from the mess and for some unknown reason her brother picked it up and threw it at her. SPLAT, it hit the wall. Not to be outdone, she picked it up and threw it back at him. Then they proceeded to finger paint the wall!

About this time DH was awakened by the screams and laughing and ran to see what was going on. As fate would have it, he stepped on the poop and tracked it across the carpet.

You can imagine the mess he had to clean up! All because he took a nap at the wrong time!!! He didn't think it was funny at the time, but we laugh about it now!
