Has anyone seen the truck that was painted with all of the names of the people who lost their lives on 9/11?

It is a fantastic.

What a total cool idea, good for him. A nice reminder that they should never be forgotten.

the day of the attack, my husband was working in the trade center tower that was hit first. it was the building with the antennae. the building that was hit second went down first, while my husband and hundreds of others were escaping down the fire stairs. they went down single file, helping the disabled and those in wheelchairs, passing them hand to hand, while the firefighters went up the same staircases. the rest you've all seen on t.v. i'm sure. i feel very lucky.

That truck is really special.
Butterflywing, I'm sure glad that your DH made it out of the building!!

Glad you made it out alright. You were probably one of the heroes who helped others get out alright. Congrats to you.

My department lost about 35 people from the horrible crime.
The woman who sat in the cube next to me had a brother-in-law who worked in the trade center. As it turned out, after hours of trying to reach him, he didn't work that day. I can still here her talking to him "Boris, you have to come up this weekend and have a drink before something happens to you!"

That night he died of a heart attack from the shock of losing all of his friends and co-workers.

These people should be remembered!

What a wonderful thing to do. We must NEVER, EVER forget what happened that day. It happened once and can happen again - we must always be on guard. We must pray for those who lost their lives (I know of a couple) and those they left behind. Butterflywing - God was with your hubby that day - bless him for helping others. Strangely, in the midst of all that terror, my first grandson was born at 9:01 AM! Each year we celebrate his birthday with bittersweet memories.

That day is one that should never be forgotten! No pun intended, it hit too close to me. Flight 11 was one that I used to take all the time out of Boston a few years back. The only person we lost at our company (and we travel all the time) has the same last name as me. Little connections, compared to some like butterfly's husband, but still powerful. And, yes no1jan, it was crime!
