I know you all will have this answer. I have noticed these pins that have beads on the top and I can't seem to find them anywhere. Do you all know what I'm talking about? They are not the pins you can by in the store. I think they have to be handmade. I tried to post a picture but it won't work. Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

Are they old hat pins?
|
I think that some of them are home made.:)

i have two kinds with beads on the top. both were purchased at walmart. i have larger ones with plastic yellow beads and i have fine silk pins with various colors of glass beads. i prefer the silk pins.

I have some very old pins from my grandmother that were hat pins. Some have glass beads. Other pins are none other than corsage pins from when DH would buy me corsages for b-day, m-day, etc.
As far as fancy pins, anything that fancy would be an old hat pin. Do you have pics for reference we could see? |
I love making them! They add a beautiful, personal touch!

I bought the metal part of the hat pins themselves from the bead shop, then added my own beads - personlized pins.... Love them. Very simple.
