so I will have a lot more time to chat with you guys. I guess that is good in a way but if you don't know what I am talking about, let me tell you. ATT has cut all the Scripts channels, (Food network, DIY, HGTV and dozens more and the two Hallmark channels) Grrrrrr, all of these are what I watch since I am not into kill type movies, war movies (except John Wayne) and some of the horrible things on the air today. Sorry I just had to get that off my chest......now I will sleep better tonight.

Well, of course you'll sleep......there won't be anything worth watching on TV!

I really, really don't like TV !!!
A million channels but nothing on, right??
My DH and I like Turner Classic movies, I'm a baseball fanatic and now that's over for the season.

I can't think of anything else I watch!!!
I also don't worry that I'm missing anything lol

grammyp 11-05-2010 05:08 PM

Without HGTV and Food Channel, what is there to watch?

Ramona Byrd 11-05-2010 05:12 PM

That's what I said in about 2004 when I cancelled my cable and now only watch a few of my videos and CDs. Very few of them.

Now I have much more time to sew and read.

Hubby lost his job and we had to cut out the satellite
about a year ago. I watch very little TV. I fell your pain :-(

Netflix and netflix streaming are great, getting rid of our Sat when the contract runs out.

CarrieAnne 11-05-2010 06:00 PM

Oh, Hallmark is my favorite, but I cut back to just the BASIC with Dish, and lost it too!

littlehud 11-05-2010 06:53 PM

I almost never watch TV. My adult kids do. That's why I keep cable.

Not a big TV watcher, but I did notice the Food Network was gone...made me mad. I thought I was losing my brain and had forgotten the right channel for it. But no, surfed through them all..twice..it wasn't there. I only watch two shows on it, but I like them a lot.

This just happened here in northern California really upset I wanted to see how the house that vanilla ice was doing turned out.

I never miss NCIS...even the re-runs on USA. And a few programs on PBS. That's about it. The rest is junk as far as I'm concerned.

Annaquilts 11-05-2010 07:58 PM

I hear you. I just spend time with you lovely folks here or I am quilting. We disconnected the TV the children watch. Just too much yucky stuff.

RkayD 11-05-2010 08:23 PM

my kids watch alot on HuLu..If it wasn't for DvR I'd never watch anything. Bones Criminal Minds NCIS ect...but I download podcasts from OldTimeRadio on my iPod and listen to that stuff mostly. I have to agree that most of the stuff on TV these days is junk -ola!

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 11-05-2010 08:28 PM

Netflix instant view here. No cable. We do have an antanea and get the major networks: NBC, CBS and ABC. That's it and everyone seems fine with it.

sueisallaboutquilts 11-05-2010 09:01 PM

The Food Channel is gone?? Like Emeril and all them???

3699quilter 11-07-2010 05:34 AM

We changed from Comcast to WOW last spring to save some money. I'm still in the old days and use VCRs to tape most of my shows and watch them when I have time.

bj 11-07-2010 12:53 PM

Surprise to me. I was flipping thru the channel guide last night looking for something to watch and I stumbled onto an old Fons and Porter (still had Liz on) show, followed by a Scrapbooking show. They were on BYU, I think it is the Brigham Young channel. Mostly it had religious shows, but it did have those two shows. Hmmmm.

ptquilts 11-07-2010 01:05 PM

I am mad that I can't get C-SPAN any more.

nativetexan 11-07-2010 02:54 PM

well i pay comcast a lot for not much as it is, so At&t can't be that bad.
