Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I love all the old musicals.
From "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" to "South Pacific" and "Oklahoma" and the rest of those lovely movies with no vulgarity and vicious characters. I think we see far too many of that kind, and can't really believe that most people actually like that sort. At least most of those I know who are in my own age range=50 to 90. And all those black and white science fiction movies that used to make my skin crawl...such as "The Day the Earth Stood Still" or something like that. I got a bargain from Walmart..it was a CD with the ORIGINAL Lil' Abner, with Mammy as a big fat lady, Daisy Mae was a short haired cutie with her hair in the 1920s fashion!! |
Gone with the Wind, then Charlie & the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder.

I forgot all about Song of the South, commonly known as the Uncle Remus Stories. Many young people aren't familiar with it as it cannot be sold in the US any more. A friend brought me a copy from UK, but I couldn't view it until a friend made it compatible with our tracks.

I'd have to go with Pretty in Pink, although the Breakfast Club is great too.
