I just had to share this story. When you think you aren't making a difference in someone's life...you really are.

Yesterday my DD's came for a post Christmas lunch. My youngest daughter shared a story that made me cry. The night before she had met up with an old friend from elementary and high school. Heather was in town for the holidays and the gals hooked up on Facebook. Anyway, Heather asked my daughter how I was doing. Then she proceeded to tell my daughter that she is raising her children in the same manner that I raised mine. She told my daughter that she always thought I was "hip", a lot of fun and so very full of life. Funny how you don't really notice an 8 year old taking that all in. Heather is now approaching 40 and is a successful business woman in San Francisco. Amazing how I touched her life without knowing it. Very satisfying to know that. I just wanted to share. :-)

Like the old timers always said, "Little pitchers have big ears" Good on you for being a good example to little pitchers.
