Animal Shelter Apron Donations
2 Attachment(s)
OK, so these are not quilts... but this is what I did over the weekend - made 8 heavy duty aprons (twill) for the animal shelter where my DD is volunteering in San Bernadino this month as part of school. It's a huge shelter (about 1000 animals at any given time) that is very underfunded. The aprons allow workers & volunteers to carry leashes & treats around so they can bring out fur babies to show potential new owners. Apparently, some of the workers have gotten ringworm around their necks from hanging the leashes around their necks so the aprons help solve that. Hopefully they cheer the place up as well! A few are pictured. :)

Just beautiful, great job and thank you for sharing, and thank you for your caring heart for our furry friends.
Have a Blessed night Ellen |
You, dear lady, are an angel! As is your DD! I'm so glad that schools nowadays encourage community service. The younger a person is exposed to it, the better (IMHO). If I ever get my act together, I have a pattern for dog toys made from strips of fleece that I want to make for the local Humane Society. Thank you for your generosity!

Great job and I'm sure much appreciated by the staff.

Those are very cute and I'm sure the volunteers will really appreciate them.

Those are adorable! :)

what a great idea.... I wonder if my old rescue would like something like that.

Okay!! Adorable!!! Where did you get the pattern? Is the cute panels stitched onto pockets? What would the workers attach a leach to? Wonderful gift.... THanks for sharing...,.
Might try to make some for my Vet's office workers & maybe even him & his partner. He grew up in the house directly across from me. His Mom still lives there. His ofc is a go ways from me but he does give me a little discount! |
