Hi everybody! I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to make the copyright symbol. The C in a circle. I read about it one time and I have searched and searched now, but can't find it again. Thank you in advance for your help.

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...symbol+to+use+ I googled this and you have several sites to look into..

Hold down the Alt key and hit 0169 at the same time. © is what you'll get.
|
|
In Microsoft word, on the top of the computer in the tool bar go to Insert, pull down the the arrow go to Special Character, click on this and it should give you several different symbols to use. It may not be on the 1st tab, so click the tab on the top of the sybol page to chage pages.
|
In Word, go to Insert, Symbol and you'll find one of these symbols in the 'Wingding' fonts. Or, hold down 'alt' and 'ctrl' and then hit the 'c' key.
To get the symbol here, put the character in Word, then copy it, and paste it :) © <end nerd alert> |

Wow, you are all making it so much harder than it is! Copy/paste, MS Word, web addresses, oh my! :) It's simply Alt+0169.

please explain how you hold down 0169 all at the same time |

For Macs: (at least this one)
º - Press Option and the Zero (the row on top - not the keypad zero) ™ - Press Option and the number 2 (the row on top) £ - Press Option and the number 3 (the row on top) ¢ - Press Option and the number 4 (the row on top) ∞ - Press Option and the number 5 (the row on top) § - Press Option and the number 6 (the row on top) ¶ - Press Option and the number 7 (the row on top) • - Press Option and the number 8 (the row on top) ª - Press Option and the number 9 (the row on top) Review: © - Option and g ® - Option and r Are there others? |

So far, I have tried some of the other alternatives, and they don't seem to work either, with the exception of Inserting a Symbol on my Word, so thank you for that.
So, try pressing the Fn key, then hold down the Alt key and type M J O L (that would be 0163) and see if you get a £ sign when you release the Alt key (crossing my fingers here). |
Thank you everybody! I tried the Alt. and 0169 and I got the symbol. It won't work on here though. I tried it on an email.
