Facebook has a page you can subscribe to called "Facebook Security". You will get notices about everything going on and information about how to manage the amount of information you want to share, from virtually nothing to pretty much everything.

I had someone that hacked into my facebook account earlier this month. I went in and changed my password and made security updates.
