Any free video's on general sewing, not quilting?
 

My DD wants to being sewing "things", not necessarily quilting projects. Are there any good FREE video's that would help her figure out how to do it, from how to thread her machine, etc. She called me the other day to ask advice on sewing machine needles and I can tell she's afraid to start out.

Eventually she hopes to make her own clothes but is going to start out with dog booties since it's so cold here in Maine. Any "bootie" patterns online that you know about?

Does she have her machine manual? If not, she can probably find it online. She should also be able to find information, either written or videos, online. And there should be books at her library on general sewing information. There are patterns online for just about anything you can think of too. This time of year many communities have classes at the local high school which may include beginning sewing lessons.

Tell her to check on "YouTube". Lots of lessons/demos, for beginners and experienced sewers alike.

Craftsy has some free mini video classes on small sewing projects. Little bags and such.

Check Utube and all of the machine manufactures have project pages
