I will be walking in March of Dimes on Sunday. My son was born 12 weeks prematurely, underweight for his gestational age at 1 pound 14 oz. His lowest weight... 1 pound 10 ounces. (babies lose some weight in the day or two after birth). That's like 6 sticks of butter!!! He is doing beautifully now and turns 9 next week! I am excited to be walking again. They have done amazing things to save babies. I will be walking in Mahwah NJ. Hope I see some of you out there.

I can not do the walk this year, but have in the past. My Emi was also born early (4 weeks early and weighing 3 pounds). He is 8 years old.

I started doing these walks when I was in the 5th grade... 20 miles was a LOT then.... and it is a LOT for me now LOL
I wish they had them up here where I live... I could do some of it anyway :D:D:D

So glad your little one grew up to be a healthy child. Prayer does work.

This is a great organization. They have done so much to improve the survival rate of children born early and to prevent premature births. The March of Dimes is a truly worthwhile organization. Thanks for walking for children and glad your son is doing so well.
