Anyone with Dentures

Ever had a tooth fall out? I feel like a first grader my botton center fell out today and my dentist is 500 miles away. ugg

yep.
i lost a bottom, front tooth to a particularly crunchy salad.

my dentist was an hour away but closed for 2 weeks vacation.

there was no way i was going to work looking like that.
the most local dentist wanted $4,000 and expected me to go 6 weeks with no teeth at all.
drove 4 hours - each way - to get the overdue dentures i could afford and get that day.

Did either of you collect from the tooth fairy? I broke the back part of my plate. Dentist said the lab could fix it, but I decided to get all new ones to make sure they fit correctly, and not have to go without the plate.

I don't have dentures but thinking you could temporarily repair it with Fixadent.

I am on my second set. My first set had one come out in the back. I had a new set made at the time. My dentist and my insurance pay for a new set every 5 years. This set fits much better than the first set fit. It may be a while before I do another set only because my dental practice closed when the dentist retired. So as long as these are doing well I will stick with these. They are sound and working well.

Dental problems are the worst. My dentist told me he has seen a drastic drop in young adults patients and that is a crucial age to keep healthy teeth in later years. Most of all his patients now are older most with major dental problems.

I've had dentures for about 30 yrs and never had a tooth fall out or even come loose. I think you could just glue it in? Superglue? LOL

I had a tooth on upper plate break off due to hard bacon (over cooked). Third from the front. It had to be fixed twice. That dentist left and another took over. I am about due for another.

well my tooth didn't fall out, i broke it badly and had to have it removed. I have a pop in denture that stays in place nicely. took five months to get it and cost me at least $900.00! it better last me forever.
OH, your denture tooth fell out! wow. No, never had that happen. i would go back to the Dentist and complain very loudly and get it repaired at little or no cost if possible!! good luck.

Why you're not installing artificial teeth?
