I've sold stuff on amazon don't remember if was quilting. Sold fine

I never thought of that, I will have to look into it.

I did not know you could sell on Amazon.I will have to check this out. I stop selling on Ebay because of the high fees. Thank you for this information

I tried, and they won't let me because I live in Ireland, and they are in the UK. I wouldn't mind, but it would have been nice if it said something much earlier on their website. As it was, I waded all through all the forms, and only got told right at the end. What a waste of time.

it is 99 cents per transaction PLUS 15% of the selling price. Ebay is cheaper.
That being said, I do sell books on AZ as well as charm squares. But I have an upgraded account and do not pay the 99 cent part (pay $40 a month for the account instead) |

I have sold books on both Amazon and half.com . Amazon gets more traffic, so things tend to sell faster, but half.com is easier and more straightforward to deal with. I prefer half.com .
One problem I ran into on Amazon was customer responses. I had one who gave me a bad rating for somebody else's book (not one I had ever listed); must have confused the two sellers. Another one tried to leave me the highest rating (judging by his comment) but misunderstood the rating system and gave me 1 star instead of 5. I left comments on those ratings, but I didn't sell many items on Amazon so these made a huge dent in my %-rating. I myself will skip over listings where the person has less than a 90% rating, so I just figured I was done with Amazon. |
Ebay has a free classified section now. i have used half.com before, mostly to buy.
|
Have you considered half.com? I have sold several books on there. I also only ever buy all my books from there. They are associated with E-bay but seperate. There are no listing fees and it stays listed until you remove etc. They only make money off of part of the shipping cost.
