A pool noodle is a long, styrofoam tube that people hang onto when they are swimming. You bend them into a "U" shape. The bottom of the "U" goes against your chest and the ends stick out from under your arms behind you. (At least this is how I've seen them used). They usually come in neon colors and children love to hit each other over the head with them as well. :) Hope this helps!
