OK, here's what I was able to find out using my Chromecast. I can stream NewsMax directly from the computer onto my TV Screen. The Blaze wants me to subscribe for $9.99/mo. As to FOX and the other network news channels, we use a good indoor antenna with a 35 mile range. That gets them all where we are. Hope this helps!

I have a new TV that my son bought for me and it hooks up to Netflix and Utube and Amazon...I do use Netflix but prefer to watch Utube on my Apple desktop...I also do Amazon on my desktop computer...I guess I am getting too old to change my ways...lol...there is something called Comcast that allows some of these things to be hooked up to TV...my son has this but I would not know how to operate it...

We have a Roku 3 on our older smart tv. The tv isn't smart enough!! But the Roku works fine for Netflix and such. It was easy to install. We have some antennas - one on my iMac that uses eye tv as a receiver and one in the guest bedroom - they are adequate but wouldn't want one on the main tv. PBS in our area has a note on their website that the signal isn't strong enough for most antennas. One son has Apple TV and it works very well for him. Apple has a lot of information on line and they are helpful in an Apple Store if you are close enough to one.

Isn't Comcast cable tv with or without a DVR? The company comes and hooks it up and they give you a remote. At least that's how it works where I live.

I think todiesmom meant "Chromecast" as in the Google casting device (not Comcast, which is the Cable TV provider).

I have a very old Roku (I think it's the "1") on one TV, and a new Roku stick on the other TV. Love them! I also have Amazon Fire sticks on all of my TV's and I'm an Amazon Prime subscriber, so I have enough TV to watch for about seven lifetimes. :)

Streaming devices are very easy to hook up and use, and now lots more news channels are making their content available.
