apron for little girls - anyone make those?

My sis asked me to make aprons for her 2 little grand daughters I am more than happy to do that, but I have never made an apron before. I found some pictures and instructions on the internet for an apron her and I liked.

Now that I have it almost completed, I am wondering if this is "too round" ? I can find pictures of aprons like this on a person or on a mannequin, but none laid flat like this. Except for the site that I was going off of. In thos instructions she just said "make a curve that you like"..

What do you guys think?

I am NO expert on little girls apron but it looks fine to me.

It's great, I think they will enjoy these!

Very cute!

It looks adorable. As long as it stays up and ties onto their body I think it will be fine. My oldest DD made little aprons for her twin youngest sisters. The girls love their aprons as I think these little girls will. Great job!

Really, really nice!! Do you have time to maybe make another in Christmas fabric??

meyert 11-09-2015 10:46 AM

Christmas fabric would be awesome!! I have to finish up this one and make one for the little sister, but I will keep that Christmas fabric in mind....

I think they are really cute and that the little girls will love them.

I think it's cute!! When my DGD was 4 I made her one. Now that she's 9 I had to make her another one.

It really doesn't matter what the apron looks like lying flat. When it goes around a body, it covers what it underneath. That is what counts. I really like the apron you've created. It is definitely fun, and it will serve its purpose very nicely.

Looks good to me.... :-)

Clarice29 11-10-2015 01:02 PM

I think it is just right.

annette1952 11-10-2015 04:53 PM

I love it! It is just adorable. I don't think it is too round at all. Perfect!

nananurse 11-11-2015 04:15 AM

Adorable!! Love the pocket!

maviskw 11-11-2015 05:20 AM

Adorable little apron. But do you think those ties are long enough? I would think they would need to be at least twice as long, maybe three times to be able to tie it in the back. Do some testing on a little girl!

I make aprons for little ones that are reversible. These are simple and kids love them. Here's a worn out one but you get the idea.

Looks just fine to me too. I need to make matching ones for my daughter & grand daughter (age 3).

It's a great little girl's apron. I've made several, but they were just miniature adult BBQ type aprons, but I like the idea of rounding it off and adding the ruffle. My DGD likes the apron I made for her one Christmas.
