Aprons Are Hot
I just finished making an apron for my sister's birthday using a pattern from www.sew4home.com called "Retro Fun-Vintage Style Apron." It is super easy and goes together quickly. There is a lot of bias tape work, but that is what really sets this pattern off from others. Quilting is still my main passion, but if you need a gift or a break from blocks give this pattern a try. I made mine with a whimsical chicken print as the main and a mushroom print as the flounce, which is another reason that this is a great pattern; it can be totally reversible. Any who, if you need a project for fun then this fits the bill.

Thank you so much for this site.......I need to make myself an apron. Some of my best memories of my grandmother are always (pictured in my mind) with her in an apron, no matter what she was doing. She made me one when I got married, but I have it put up in my sewing room to remind me of her when I sew and quilt.
