I haven't made any since last year - I gave them to family members for Christmas gifts. (The family I am talking about is my daughters in-laws. They always invite me to Christmas party every year) They were a big hit.

Last year I was on an apron kick for Christmas gifts! They are so fun to make and there are so many cute patterns!
Aprons are definitely making a comeback! |

Hey how cool is this? I just made a Mr Fix it apron for my nephew about to be groom at his brides shower. Also 2 hot mitts. They were a smash.
I also design and make totes(see avatar) and I do some art quilting. The aprons and placemats and mitts are like potato chips to do while thinking what to do next in quilting. Pegeth |
awesome!

When I started teaching pre=Kindergarten, I also started making aprons to wear in class, especially since I helped both the morning and afternoon classes with lunch. Many of the pants and skirts I wore didn't have pockets and aprons were always made with pockets. I got a simple pattern and made aprons to go along with units I was teaching and also holidays. The kids loved them and they really saved my clothes. When I retired I kept some of my favorites and passed the rest out to teacher friends and also to my great niece's preK teacher. She and my friends have all said they love the aprons and think of me whenever they wear them.

I love aprons and make them. I usually use the D-ring because I don't care for the knot on my neck on the ones that tie. What is the "church ladies" apron look like? Does anyone have a picture?
