auto-fill for names when sending a Personal Message (PM)
 

I learned to put a semi-colon after the screen name of the person I am sending a message to.

Sometimes the auto-fill would add more to the name than I intended and the message ended up not where I intended.

Example:

I want to send a message to someone named: bearis

The auto-correct might just keep on and add a few more letters, so the message would be sent to: bearisgray instead of bearis.

So now I would type in: bearis;
even when that is the only person I am sending a message to.

Just check to make sure that it doesn't change the name on you when you aren't looking. :shock:

Love it. That's a good idea. Other words besides names get changed, too. An iPad is even worse for doing this. Sometimes I wonder where people are looking when they type posts. I'm always looking at what I am typing, but of course many times there are things I don't catch either. I try to re-read it.

Interesting. I usually just click on the icon of the person and then select PM. Thanks for the info.
