What an assortment. :lol:
I only see this stuff because I'm out taking care of horses so much... good thing they are here. :wink: This bunch was in the back run-in shed. The mother would holler every time I hauled water back there. [ATTACH=CONFIG]103125[/ATTACH] This goldfinch (?) was swaying on the sunflower in the breeze--like a carnival ride. [ATTACH=CONFIG]103127[/ATTACH] Caught this view one early morning while doing chores. [ATTACH=CONFIG]103132[/ATTACH] I like this one a lot. [ATTACH=CONFIG]103135[/ATTACH] There is a huge area of sunflowers in Mark's garden--which got there from me feeding black oil sunflower seeds to the horses and emptying the wheelbarrow in Mark's garden. ;-) [ATTACH=CONFIG]103136[/ATTACH] In the Crab Apple tree... My grandson and I grew some sunflowers and now I'm feeding them to my cockatiels. |
Isn't it great to witness such neat sights? So many people live thier lives without taking in the beauty all around them. :-D

Beautiful pics. I'm homesick for upstate NY now! I'm from near Binghamton and my DH is from Corning and we lived in Utica for almost 20 years. Don't get me wrong, Tucson is a great place to live, but there are some things that are etched in my memory forever and you've brought them back for me. THANK YOU!

I just love your pictures!
They make me smile! I had a little Oriole on the feeder the other day. Need to go house for him so he and his family can move here. I finally got some hummingbirds to visit. Didn't take long, but had to "convince them" to come more often. Had 2 feeders up and nothing. Finally went to the store and bought some fake flowers and put that around the pole and within a few hours, they were buzzing. I used to have a cat that visited, but the catbirds took care of that joker, now he stays away. I need to find my camera and sit outside and get some pics of the feeder, especially when the squirrel is hanging upside down and chattering at the blackbirds lol |
