I just received my machine back from getting cleaned and repaired and today I finally felt like sitting down to quilt when I go to cut the thread it makes a horrible grinding noise. Before I took it in the cutter worked just fine, now I could just scream so back to the repair shop it goes now another week of no sewing which really makes me upset since I just got my border figured out on my quilt and needed to make some gifts for my daughters. Oh well I guess I could use the treadle right?? (since they ship out the machines my I don't blame my repair shop iteself just the people that broke it :()

That is terrible...I refuse to take my machine in to someone that ships out....for that reason!

They never shipped out before and with the issues I had just getting it back I am not sure I want them taking it again but I do have to let them make it right I cannot afford to have someone else fix it.

Oh, I feel for you. That is really sad, to wait so long and get it back and have something else wrong now. I am dying to get my treadle going. I learned to sew on one many years ago and as I recall, it is so relaxing to sew on a treadle. Mine I bought a year ago and it sat in water in it's previous life and one wheel is rusted solid and the treadle plate is all rusty too. Makes me so mad that anyone would abuse a nice machine and cabinet like that. So, get that treadle going and relax a bit, Maybe you won't even miss Miss Fancy so much.

Oh, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope it comes back quick!!!!!!!!

I'm not sending my machine for a tune up ever again. I learned my lesson - if it's not broken, don't fix it.

Getting it back with a problem that wasn't there to start with is so extremely frustrating.

sending a mental "get well quick" card to your machine.

Took my machine in today and the lady that took it in did not say a word. last time the tested it but this time she must have know something was up. I tried to sew on it thinking I really didn't need the cutter right now but oh my gosh the machine sews so rough the hand crank is so tight. I really hope they did not ruin my baby I really need her now that I am feeling better!

Oh, I do feel your pain. I've been going through this with my laptop repair guy. Each time I take it in it comes back with something else broken and now I have an ugly USB thingy, instead of a card inside, to deal with...said they work better. Hmph...I don't think so. I'm going to bite the bullet and take it somewhere else. I'm darn tired of paying them to do an exam on it each time they break something. Wishing you the best with your machine!

What machine do you have, Jade? That is a very frustrating thing.
