This one was flying around the lilac bush when I got home from work yesterday. It landed and I grabbed my cell and snapped a picture...it was a pretty good size.

Thank you very much and I would not mind at all if you make a block from it :-) I love butterflies and try to catch good pictures when I can...photography is another love of mine aside from quilting.

Yes it is :-) I love love the smell of lilacs so this one is actually planted outside of my sewing room (well my old sewing room now) window....now I get to smell it when I leave the house or come home lol

Yes it is :-) Thank you. I thought for sure it would fly away when I got so close but it didn't...she just sat there and posed for me :-)

Can't wait for the lilacs to start blooming here. It's been so cold and rainy that the tulips are still out. We are several weeks behind in our spring weather up here in northern MN. Most people are just putting in their gardens and bedding plants.
