Estes Park is a beautiful place to be! Our first trip there with the family we stayed at a KOA teepee. So beautiful in those Rocky Mountains!! What a fabulous hotel too.

Jim's Gem, I agree with you. I really miss not being able to take a drive through the park or the town and oh how my family misses The Rocky Mtn. Chocolate Factory.

Loretta, DH asked what I was doing when I started lifting all the corners looking for a tag. Yes, it was mass produced. I took pictures of it so I could do something along those same lines on my own. It had corduroy, which I really loved. I've never incorporated corduroy in any of my quilts........yet.

My LQS has a line of really pretty fine courduroy fabrics that seem perfect for totes and little stuffed animals. Sort of reds, blacks, browns, mostly dots and swirls.

Do any of you ever think those "mass produced" quilts are really sweat shop? They mostly look hand sewed...can't help but wonder who slaved over them sometimes.

Esq, I wondered the same thing as I was studying the patterns. Hard to fathom about the sweat shops.

I walked into the main entrance. Incredible woodwork and beautiful lighting. I'd love the chance to walk around in there. There had been a wedding (outside, no less), and they were all gathered in that entrance area for pictures. From the looks of the floral arrangements and the wedding gown, I'm so very glad I didn't have to pay for that wedding. The gown was stunning. I didn't quite fit in.......I was in hoodie sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes. I didn't stick around too long. But now I can say I was in The Stanley.
