What heartfelt messages of support from you all, thank you once again :)

I HAVE started sewing again, a bright kiddy quilt with funky monsters on, lovely and bright to cheer me up. It is for my Great Nephew who will be two at the end of the month so I better hurry up! I will be posting pictures soon! :)

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Please be kind to yourself. There's no right or wrong way to grieve, each of us is different. I hope that getting back to your fabric and machine will help you begin to find your "new" normal. It's good to see you on the board again. We'll look forward to seeing your creations!

Welcome back.. I understand the sorrow lost my husband in March 2011 after yrs of battling.
Now is your time to shine and do the things you love for therapy in healing.
Can't wait to see all the beautiful things you create.:):):)

Izy, You are a remarkable woman. You will look back with fond memories that you were able to care for him at home. I am a bereavement counsellor and you are doing some of the things I always tell my clients. Sit back, perhaps reclaim an old hobby and take your time. Time does not "heal all things" as some people say, it is what you do with your time that makes the difference. Prayers and good thoughts to you.

So sorry for your loss, he is in a better place and now you can heal. I'm sure you have been grieving while you knew he was dying.

Dear Izy - I'm sorry for the reason you were gone - and now are back again. My wishes are with you for healing days of quilting ahead. Please show us your progress if you can figure out how to post pictures. So far, I haven't been able to post a single picture in this new format, but i keep trying!

Thanks JoanneS, I managed a bit more sewing yesterday, but it's a struggle to feel creative, my mind is too full of everything at the moment. I have managed to post pictures on the new format in a couple of other topics I created, you have to resize them before hand or they won't load ;)

Patski, your thoughts are so true, but it doesn't make it any easier to comes to terms with his death... I woke up dreaming about him today, haven't been able to stop crying since I got up...think it is finally hitting home that I will never see or hear him again...:(
