i know all our thoughts & prayers are w/the families in japan,& the rest of the weorld that will be effected by this terrible disaster.
was broght a little closer to home after p m ing a friendon this board whose dd is in tokyo but came thru safely, so far.please say a prayer for dsj's dd to stay safe.

:cry: So sad to see all that they are going though. We should all learn from them on how they are all pulling together. Remember how Americans acted in New Orleans after Katrina. They can teach us a thing or two. Will continue to pray for them!

This brings tears to my eyes.

Makes all of my "problems" seem trivial. Nothing in my world can come anywhere near what the Japanese people are going to have to face. My prayers are with them daily.

We thaught Haiti was bad, this is so much worse.

Just sent this link to my son who returned from Japan about 5 years ago after living there for 14 years. I know he will be upset because he knows a lot of these places. His wife is Japanese and, thankfully, her parents and sister are all OK. Don't know yet what damage their dwellings might have sustained. I still cannot quite come to grips with what has happened. Life can change on a dime and I doubt that all the survivors of this tragedy in Japan will ever be the same. Certainly the land itself will not!

A real catastrophe I just don´t no how they are going to manage its such a wide area of buildings to be rebuilt and infrastructure to repair.

The Survivors are just about surviving I think at the moment and it is so so cold.

I am so sadden for the Japaneese. My heart and prayer go to each and everyone in Japan and friends and family in other places.

Japan is in my prayers. I am also thankful that my SIL was not over there at that time. He has traveled there for work.

It will be interesting to see just how the Japanese undo this damage. It's not the first time and unfortunately probably not the last, but lets hope the next doesn't happen for 2000 years.

I understand that there are areas where the debris was gone in 24 hours. I'm sure it was areas on the fringe with a minimal debris field.

Still, I look at all these images and wonder, if I were there where would I start? I suppose that after the recover effort is exhausted the heavy equipment will have to be brought in.
If I ever think of complaining about being cold or hunger or thirsty, I will keep my mouth shut!
