Hi,
A few days ago I began doing research online to find a lightweight, easily maneuvered electric vacuum broom. I only want it to do my kitchen, entryway and dining room where we have wood floors. Oh, I guess I might use it in the main bathroom. The more I looked the more confused I became as to which one was the best to get for under $100. What do you have? Thanks, I really appreciate your help. :-D |
I have an Eureka quick up. It was under 50.00 at walmart. I love it, do all my floors with it, even carpets. Has two selections, one for floors and one for carpets but I use the carpet one on everything as it picks up my furbabies hair better that way. BTY have hardwood floors and slate tile in the kitchen.

I have a battery powered Swiffer that I use occasionally, but honestly, most often I prefer to use my 'woman-powered' Swiffer with a paper towel instead of the official Swiffer replaceable dry cloth (because I'm cheap). I find that the plain swiffer does a better job at corralling Maine Coon hair and kitty litter that my little darlings seem to drop from their big paws all over the house. The battery powered Swiffer is great at picking up the cat hair, but not so much with the loose pieces of litter.

I actually like sweeping with a regular old broom. However, arthritis in my lower back is beginning to make it harder and quite a bit more painful. A few things are bummers about getting older...

I have an electric Dirt Devil power stick, it works great on
floors and has a dirt catcher that you empty, no bags to buy....noisey, had it 5 years...around $50 |
I bought my mom a shark rechargeable and she loves it! Has a cup to empty, no bags and hangs back up to recharge.

I have a Sharp electric vacumn/broom that I love. It's rechargeable and has the detachable hand held. I have had it for over 5 years and it's still working. I have hardwood floor and ceramic tile all thru my house. Plus, my small grandchildren love to use it too, so that an advantage! LOL

Thank you everyone. You are really helping me. I like the idea of grandchildren being able to maneuver it. Tells me a lot. :-D

I am considering one of these too...glad you asked the question.
