An amazing woman that made sure to live her life. Thankfully it was a long one, though she will still be missed.

Yes she was and noted was the fact, she was supported by the President in her individualism. She was at the dedication ceremony of my children's elementary school, JW Creel Elementary, in Melbourne Florida. It is one of my daughter's most memorable impressions. She says, "Now, there's a Lady."

Thank you for posting this article. I knew next to nothing about her before reading it - her era of history was never covered in school, either as "past" or "current" events. We sort of had a blank period between the 1940's WWII in history classes and the 90's in social studies.
