I got the best results with the Clover ones by doing this: once you have threaded the fabric into the tape maker, I pin the end down onto the ironing board with a fine silk pin (small head). Then I use the iron to slowly push the tape maker ahead. Be sure to push it in a straight line.

Thanks for that. The tute posted by Prism99 made it look so easy. Something else to buy.

They work great. If you are using them for straps, I dont cut on the bias.

I have them but yet to use them. Still stashed in the drawer and most still in their original packaging. Even picked up the ones with the double-sided tape for them.

The owner of the lqs I go to only recommends the Clover; also she has found that they work better if turned over; opposite of the way the directions tell you. They are great.

I like mine pretty well. I also have the Simplicity bias tape maker that feeds itself through that I also like
