I am making Banana Nut Bread today. Thanks for showing where bananas come from.

Banana plants are amazing. I have heard that the plant dies after it produces?
|
How interesting! never really knew how this was done. :o

Very interesting. I thought they grew straight up, in a bunch. Thank you for sharing. This Northerner has a lot to learn,

beautiful photos!! I'm from Houston, Texas and we used to have a banana tree in our backyard. It gave small banana's but had those beautiful colorful leaves/blossoms. Love banana plants!! Our tree didn't die. I lived there about 10 years and it was still going strong.

Thanks for sharing - I actually looked at this thread because of the unusual title! was thinking it was going to be a banana shaped something LOL

Learn something new everyday. Had no idea.

While I was reading this thread, I was drinking a banana, mango smoothie from my Vita Mixer. Both the bananas and the mangos came from my back yard and I am so glad to have them. BTW, the smoothie was delish. The last bunch of bananas we got, yielded about 106 bananas on the stem from one tree. We gave lots away to neighbors and friends and then I peeled about 30 of them and froze them. They are great to take out of the freezer for smoothies any time you want. Same with the mangos, they all freeze well.
