Look at my lovely eye. Have mercy and to think my darling little Molly (dog) did it lol.....

We have a very high bed, pillow top on both sides. So we have a boudoir chair at the foot of the bed for Molly to jump on and then to the bed.

Well I was picking up something I dropped, I have no clue what it was now, and Molly decided to jump at the same time and her head collided with my eye.

Well she cried as much as I did but good God did it hurt. I put ice on it right away and then you need to put warm after 48 hours. I forgot and took my baby aspirin (no aspirin with a bruise to the face). I take one every night and you can actually see the blood making a river down into the bottom of eyes bag, boy do I have a bag now..here is a pic. I took it front on lol.

Wow, that was a good shot. Fortunately you will heal from this and Molly will be giving it lots of kisses to help it heal faster. I hope it's not painful any more even though it looks it. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

raptureready 06-30-2010 08:02 AM

Good story, stick to it.

But I've told you before, at our age we just can't keep getting into bar fights. LOLOLOL

Hope it heals quickly and doesn't hurt too much. Does the dog have a lump on her head?

Rosyhf 06-30-2010 08:03 AM

To top it off I got an email from the library that my Catherine Cooksons were in and I just can't wait for them to come in. I didn't want anyone to see me as I know they will think I got beat up lol. That is exactly what I think when I see a woman with a black eye but I will think differently lol.

Everyone at the library was staring at me lol. But no one said a word....

sewcrafty 06-30-2010 08:06 AM

It doesn't really hurt today, just very slightly sore but not uncomfortable...Molly doesn't have a scratch on her lol...Her head hit me and she must had a tough scull....yeh got to stop going to those bars hahahahah

Pam 06-30-2010 08:15 AM

My friend had something similar happen to her and was asked about it by a cashier. She jokingly said her hubby did it. He almost got his rear end kicked right in the WalMart! LOL! Good to know that there are caring people in the world willing to get involved.

I hope your eye feels better than it looks, ouch! When you get to feeling better Raptureready and I will take you out to that bar! Look out, 3 old quilting ladies looking for a good bar story to tell.

CAROLJ 06-30-2010 08:17 AM

Ouch! I like the bar fight story better. It'll give people something to talk about for months to come.

I'm glad it's not hurting today.

redkimba 06-30-2010 08:19 AM

Ouch. That Mollie sure landed a good one on ya. Sorry that it looks so bad.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one suggesting that you hold the bar fight story. :P

Rosyhf 06-30-2010 08:23 AM

QBeth 06-30-2010 08:25 AM

Ouch! I've bounced noggins with one or more of my cats but never got a black eye.

How about making a hat for you and puppy with this embroidered on the hat.... "We collided!" _:-)_

sandybeach 06-30-2010 10:27 AM

reach for the stars 2 06-30-2010 04:31 PM

Oh my that's gotta hurt. Poor doggy too!. She must hurt somewhere too. Take care of that shiner. It sure needs some TLC.

damaquilts 06-30-2010 04:38 PM

Ouch. Doggies have hard heads. You might want to try arnica for the bruising. A plastic surgeon use to send patients to my herb shop to get it after surgery.

PMY in QCA-IL 06-30-2010 04:45 PM

That looks sore - hope it heals quickly. Sorry, but I had to laugh, remembering the time my DD bumped heads with their dog - she broke her nose, blood all over. Her husband was in another room and could hear the crunch. He was very leery of checking on her, she was crying and laughing at the same time. She had two shiners as well as bruises around her nose.

littlehud 07-01-2010 08:30 AM

Oh ouch. That looks like it hurts. I know your dear doggie didn't mean to do it. Hope it gets better soon.

Ditter43 07-01-2010 08:52 AM

OUCH!!!! I know that had to hurt!!! You must stop headbutting the dog!!

Shibori 07-01-2010 09:07 AM

Bruise Relief! it really works and you can get it at Walgreens.

MamaBear61 07-05-2010 10:44 AM

For future reference, but hopefully this won't happen again, if you put "rye whiskey" on a bump like that immediately when it happens, it will keep the brusing to a minimum. Put about an ounce on a cloth and hold it on the area for approx 5 mins and you will have little to no bruise. I have no idea why it works, but it does. I used it many times when my kids were growing up and they would take a tumble off of something while playing. You might smell like a pub for a few minutes, but it saves having to answer the "what happened to you" questions (lol)

Barbm 07-05-2010 12:41 PM

I use witch hazel for bruises. and for every other thing too- hives, bug bites, puffy eyes from allergies....

tolepainter54 07-05-2010 04:18 PM

It hurts just looking at it - I agree, tell everyone it was a bar fight.
