Book- That Dorky Homemade Look by Lisa Boyer

Just started reading this and must say it is a MUST read for all quilters ! She is so funny and insightful :) She puts to paper what we all think and feel - addresses the Quilt Police, the color wheel , seam rippers ( who needs them, we meant it to be that way ! )

She will make you feel better about your quilts - yes we are not alone in our thinking

I have enjoyed this book too. As her mother used to say, "Nobody will notice" referring to her mistakes.

I call it the "made by loving hands at home" look. Or as DH says of mistakes "it's folk art."

Will look for the book, sounds great.

I read this book. It was hilarious!!

I guess we all have a little "Dorkyness" in us. :)

I read it and loves it ! Its quick fast reading. The kind of book you can put down and pick up any time. I still go back and read a few pages every once in a while.
