Book of Embroidery Stitches

I have decided to take up hand embroidery so I have something in the evenings to work on. Looking for recommendations for a good book that has all the various stitches in it.

I tend to like the more craft pamphlet sort of thing, but I have a couple of thick reference books too even though I don't do much handwork any more and never did... but I did some needlepoint and crewel and embroidery here and there.

Although I've reduced my actual books to maybe 20 or so, I do have this book by Linda Causee -- I like the way it is laid out and the diagrams work well for me:

If you have any thrift or used book stores, I'd just browse around a bit..

You might look at the library too. That way if you find one you really like, you could buy your own copy to keep it around.
I have the "Complete Guide to Needlework", by Reader's Digest. It has large images and easy to follow instructions. It covers all of the styles of embroidery. and some other types of handwork too.

The website has a stitch dictionary. Shows you how to make every stitch this lady could find. I’ve followed her for quite a few years. She has at least 2 books out. She runs a stitch of the week demo. I’ve got probably 25 books on embroidery alone. The one I have used the most is a used book from thrift books or one of the other used book sites. $5. It’s called The Arco Encyclopedia of Embroidery Stitches by Anne Butler. If you lived close I could give you one. I have 2. Hard bound books.
