I am reading a book by Daleen Berry which is her true story about abuse both physical and mental and how she rose from being a teen mother with 4 children by age 22 to an award winning writer. It is just impossible to put down. Name of the book is "Sister of Silence" and can be purchased at:

or

Yes I had to order it. I usually do not buy books but because this lady grew up in the same county and state as I did, I just had to read it. There is another great book by Jeanette Walls called The Crystal Palace and I bet you can find it in your library. It is about growing up extremely poor and neglected by parents then making it big.

I just realized my copy was printed 3-19-2011 so it is really new so it may get to the library later on.

You can put in a request for them to get the book. Have them put you first on the request list for when the book arrives. Some libraries have sharing agreements with other local libraries so research and call if necessary to get the book for you.

Don't you you mean The Glass Castle??? I've read Jeanette Walls and her books are fabulous.
Maybe I'll just buy it. I don't normally buy books like this but you really have me interested!
