Bookmarks--do you like a tassel with beads or plain?
I just finished a batch for this year's students. I love how they look plain. Once I add the grommet and hemp with beads, I don't like them as much. Sometimes the beads fall off if the knots aren't big enough. I, personally, always use plain bookmarks.
So--I wanted to go with the majority on this one. Should I add tassel and beads? Yay or nay? |
I like a plain bookmark. The beads and stuff make the book stretch out. Hope this helps you.

I prefer them to be plain. I don't like the 'bump' made by the beads or tassel.

I'm assuming the beads and/or tassel would fall to the OUTSIDE of the book pages, so in that case, I like a length of cord and a tassel. Inside the book, I prefer a thin bookmark. In reality, I usually use a scrap of paper or a piece of yarn. :p

I generally just use ribbon. Cut length desired, fold in half, thread fold through the hole to form a loop. Finally thread the tail ends of the ribbon through the loop and pull. All done!

Plain, i think the beads will get in the way and maybe the tassel will also.

I have made a tone of magnetic bookmarks for kids - decorated with stickers and the kids really like these a lot. Also, for teens, I have made some "book thongs" - just a cord that goes the length of a book with beads, etc. on each end. HTH

I have many bookmarks of all kinds. Fancy, plain, etc. I usually wind up using the drop cards from magazines or an old coupon cause I can't FIND my nice bookmarks. What ever works for you. LOL

I like the beads and tassels. Love pretty book marks!

I have a commercially made bookmark that has a cord with a button ans the a BIG knot and the ends are tasselled. Love it.
