I made my first "regular" Bow Tuck this past weekend and it turned out soooooo good! I'll post pics later today, but I have a question before I start my next one. My first one doesn't seem to have a ton of "stiffness" to it. I used the fusible fleece that was called for, but I'm just wondering if I used the really stiff interfacing and added batting would that work?
Come on guys, give me your opinions. I think it might work for the "body" of the bag and use the fusible fleece for the other parts? Thanks for all the help and look for my pics later today!!! Thanks! Michele |
Did you quilt the pieces you added pellon to? If I have a light weight fabric I will quilt the fabric and pellon together before putting the bag together. I have used stiffer interfacing but it was too stiff.

whatever you use you have to consider the seams and how thick they will be. i did use a heavy shirt collar interfacing in one of mine and it helped(also used the 987F)

i use a craft fuse iron on backing if you use batting use a thin one because it will to hard to work with if its too fat unless you quilt it with a realy smal design.

I just made one and just used the fusible pellon (988 I think, wasn't the one she recommends)...it turned out great...I prefer mine to have a "softer" look and feel...Not sure I'd like the timtex....
