made my first bow tucks thought I had it right til I turned it and the handles were sewed on wrong so took it apart put it back together still wrong lol tryed again still not sure I did it right can someone tell me for sure how to sew the handles on or should I say where to sew them as in "outside of bad " inside of bag" ?

You "sandwich" the handles between the lining and the outside fabric. Think of creating a sandwich with the wrong side of the lining up; Handles are placed underneath the lining and the raw edges of the handle are even with the raw edge of the lining; the last layer is the outside fabric positioned so that the right side is touching the handles.

I sew around the top before turning the bag right side out. Then you can do some stationary or top stitching around the edge around the top. This top stitching will also help stabilize the position of the handles.

Here its not a bow tucks but what your trying to do is general tote construction they are all done the same way.

I have made some of these bags. Before you sew the outside of the bag together you sew the handles and button loop to the right sides. You sew 1 handle to the front of the bag the other to the back side of the bag and the button loop to the backside of the bag. If you look at the diagram it shows the handles coming down on top of the bag. Sew them on the fabric side, not the fleece side. Once those are sewn on you sew the outside bag together, box the corners and then you are ready to sew the outside bag and the lining together. When you pull the bag through the hole in the bottom of the lining the handles and button loop will be between the bag and lining. Make sure you don't twist the handles when you sew them on. Clear as mud? :D
